FAZZA 3 FASTEST IN CLASS 1 EDOX SPEED RUN
Friday, 16 July, Arendal (Norway): Arif Al zafeen and Nadir Bin Hendi had to dig deep to win this afternoon’s Class 1 Edox Speed Run on Tromoysund Fjord, after being pushed to their limits by Norwegian outfit Welmax.
The defending World Champions, who earlier in the day posted the fastest time in practice, found themselves down in an unfamiliar second place after a blistering opening flying kilometre by Zaborowski and Tandberg, setting a time of 14.76secs at a speed of 243.92kmh.
Fazza 3 responded on their second run to eclipse Welmax’s time, going quickest in a time of 13.89secs at a speed of 259.20kmh. But despite their efforts the 259.86kmh set by Victory Team’s Saeed Al Tayer and Felix Serralles in 1999 remains unbeaten.
Fazza 1 posted third fastest ahead of Spirit of Dubai and Relekta.
