Paul made his Class 1 debut in Dubai in 1998 racing alongside fellow-Brazilian, Tulio Rodrigues.
He competed in the V-series in the nineties winning the Brazilian Championship, going on to compete in the F1 Powerboat Championship in 2000 – winning rookie of the year.
Christian made his powerboat racing debut in 2004 competing in the ProVee European Championship, finishing a creditable fourth overall and taking the Norwegian title, repeating the feat in 2005 and adding the European title. He stepped up to Class 1 in 2005 grabbing his first podium in Trondheim and first Pole Position win in Dubai and first race win in Arendal last year. He is a trained car mechanic but for the last four years has run his own workshop, Craft Marine, specialising in the custom rigging of boats. His early interest in speed sports included motocross and Bob Sleigh racing.
